She was born August 3, 1954, in Port Arthur, to Zula Mae McClain Belton and Benny Buford Belton, Jr. Survivors include her husband, James Welch; children, Stacey Pady and husband, Scott; Kristina Ward and husband, Daniel; and James Ryan Welch; grandchildren, Kirsten Morrison and husband, Austin; Lauren James; Dylan Ward; Kaitlyn Pady; and Jaxson Pady; and sisters, Fran Lovelace and husband, Ronnie, and Carolyn Myers. Exa Dana Harvill Fountain, 96, passed away peacefully at her home in Bon Wier, Texas, Tuesday, September 17, 2024. She was born August 2, 1928, in Nederland, Texas, to Lewis Marion Harvill and Lola Ota Defee Harvill. She grew up in Nederland, Texas with her six sisters and two brothers. Exa was working at Gardener’s Grocery on Boston Avenue when her co-worker, Temp, introduced her to her brother, William “Bill” Sam Fountain. Sam and Exa were married July 27, 1945. Together, they raised two sons, Jerry and Robert, in Nederland. In 1962, they bought a camp house in Sabine Sands, along the Sabine River in Bon Wier, Texas. They eventually made it their permanent residence after Sam retired from Mobil in 1977, but kept their home in Nederland where she made frequent trips to spend time with her siblings and her mother. Cindy graduated in 1978 from Leon Godcheaux High School in LaPlace, Louisiana. Later she moved back to Groves, Texas and married her husband, Michael Ray Kessel on February 2, 1985. Cindy had met Mike at the age of 14 at the Groves swimming pool where Michael worked as a lifeguard. She was too scared to jump off the high diving board and upon seeing this Michael climbed up there, took her by the hand and jumped off with her. Kenneth Lee Stiles was born April 2, 1945 at St. Teresa Hospital in Beaumont. His parents were Vernon Leroy and Shirley Mae Raney Stiles. He lived in Port Neches and graduated in 1961. Kenneth joined the Army in 1965 and served in Vietnam in the 173rd Airborne as an E-5 Sergeant. He also received a purple heart and other combat medals while serving. In 1967 he married Sandra Smith and they lived in Port Neches, Nederland, and then Lumberton. Kenneth was a journeyman electrician with Local 479 until he retired. He worked at many refineries for various companies. He enjoyed many outdoor activities: fishing, dirt bikes, his Harley motorcycle, and the latest was driving on mountain trails in his Jeep. John was born in Vidor, Tx on November 19, 1939, to Russell John and Mamie Evelyn Kilpatrick Guidry. John spent most of his childhood in the Beaumont area and during high school he met and fell in love with his lifelong sweetheart, Irleen. They married immediately following John’s Navy bootcamp in 1957 and were blessed with 67 beautiful years together. After joining the U.S. Navy, at the young age of 17, John served on the USS Randolph Aircraft Carrier and multiple transport aircraft including the C-130 Hercules as a flight engineer. After 20 years of service, he retired from the military as a Chief Petty Officer and then worked as an auto technician at Toyota dealerships in Beaumont for the following 20 years. Eula I. Hubert, 85, went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2024. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, she was loved by all. Lou battled dementia in her later stages of life. Fortunately, she was able to be cared for in the comfort of her home where she raised her two children, Allen, and Shelia. Lou attending Catholic school at St Charles Catholic School in Nederland, graduating high school from Nederland High in 1958, she married the Love of her life Vic and became a mother, she cherished her job as a homemaker and Mom, a job that she was so good at.
